1. About the Class

The Positive Psychology and Advanced ADHD Coaching Master Class – College Students, Teens, Children and Parents is for coaches with experience working with individuals with AD/HD who are looking to gain more knowledge and skill in working with the ADHD population and who want to apply the principles of positive psychology to their ADHD coaching.

During this class, each participant will add to their toolkit of practical interventions and will have the opportunity participate in mentor group coaching. Each class member will coach an individual with ADHD of their choosing and will receive feedback on their coaching from the instructor and other class members. Throughout the class, the principles of positive psychology will be highlighted as they apply to each coaching population.

In this interactive class, participants are required to bring cases of individuals with AD/HD they have worked with in coaching or other helping interactions. We will use these cases to elaborate on the many approaches one can take when working with this population. Class members will also practice coaching using role-playing.

2.  Who Should Attend?

This Class is open to all, both within the MentorCoach Community and without.  It’s designed for students who have some knowledge of ADHD and how it impacts college students, teens, parents and children.  Educators, mental health professionals, other healthcare professionals, and interested others who interact with this population on a regular basis have developed new insights and coaching skills by completing this class.

While this class is the third in the ADHD coaching series, many students have started their ADHD coach training with this class.

The primary requirement of the class is to provide a recording of a coaching session with either a college student, teen or child with ADHD or a parent of a child with ADHD. We start listening to these recordings during class 4 or 5.  We use these recordings as a way to enhance every student’s ADHD coaching skills.  Almost everyone has found listening to these recordings to be an exciting, positive growth experience.

If you feel you have sufficient knowledge of ADHD and have not taken the first class in this series but would like to start with this class, contact the trainer, Alan Graham at alan@addvisor.com to receive permission to enroll.
