Executive and Personal Coaching
Anne’s class had a profoundly positive effect on my coaching. Since I had little experience in the corporate world, most of what Anne presented was new to me. I went from feeling quite ignorant of this world to feeling much better informed. As I coached people from varying work settings, I was much better attuned to issues of corporate culture, dealing with boards, how assessments are done in business settings, etc. Even in coaching relationships that would not fall into the category of “executive coaching,” my understanding of these issues made me a much better coach. Anne has a great teaching style. She provides great readings and facilitates stimulating discussions. Not only did I leave the class feeling like I’d gained a great deal of new and important information, but I also felt like I’d been coached to see new strengths in myself and to have greater confidence to offer coaching to individuals in a wider variety of settings than I’d felt comfortable with before. This class is invaluable – even if you’re not planning on becoming a “business coach.”

Even though I had not planned on doing executive coaching, Anne Durand’s class continues to impact my coaching and business. The strategic plan that I developed for my own business still serves as a valuable guide and helps me with a wide range of clients. The readings, including great summary reports by others, introduced me to valuable concepts in organization, leadership, and engagement. By removing the mystery from “executive coaching,” the class also gave me the needed confidence to accept the executive clients who have come my way—and they found the coaching on target!
