WORKSHOP LEADER:
Ben Dean, Ph.D. is a psychologist, coach, and a leading
expert at the intersection of coaching and the new science
of Positive Psychology. Ben speaks on coaching and the new
science of happiness throughout the nation and publishes
Authentic Happiness Coaching, an eNewsletter focusing
on practical applications of Positive Psychology with a
current readership of 144,000 professionals worldwide. Ben began coaching
in 1981 and is a Master Certified Coach, the highest designation of the
International Coach Federation. From 1987 to 2000, he combined his clinical
and coaching work in a managed-care-free practice in Bethesda,
Maryland. In 1997, he founded MentorCoach, an ICF Accredited Coach
Training School that trains helping professionals to build rewarding coaching
practices. He publishes the Therapist as Coach eNewsletter and lives in suburban
Maryland with his wife, Janice, and their two children
