New Yor Times' Charles Duhigg Seeks Stories of Transformation and
Transformative Change

I'm
Charles Duhigg.
I'm a writer with The New
York Times, working on a project about transformative
life changes.
This book will explore the question: Why are some people able
to transform their lives in ways that make them successful, while
others struggle to achieve change? What are the techniques of
successful transformation? What are the characteristics that allow
some people to go from good to extraordinary, and how can those
characteristics be taught?
I'm hoping to hear from people who want to share stories of their
own transformations. In particular, I'm interested in hearing
about transformations that have resulted in exceptional success,
either in business, athletics, arts or some other endeavor. I'm
particularly interested in learning about transformations that
occur during peoples' adult lives (rather than while in college,
or to new professionals) and that have unusual characteristics,
either because they led to a surprising transformation, or because
of what the transformation entailed.
If
you're interested, I would really enjoy hearing from you by email
about how you changed your life. I'll then ask to conduct a personal
interview with a number of you.

Here's What I'm Seeking |
An Interview with Charles Duhigg |
|
I'm hoping to find stories of:
-
Someone who, after years of working as a middle-manager, decided
to start their own company - and has found riches as a result
-
Or, who spent years as a mother and housewife, and then decided
to become an athlete
-
Or, who has consciously transformed their life in a way that
puts them in an elite category, either in leadership, or politics,
or the arts or their community.
I'm
particularly interested in finding stories that give readers
insight into how these changes occurred.
If you are someone who has changed your life, or if you know someone
who has changed their life, I would really enjoy hearing from
you and learning a little bit about your transformation.
Please contact me at duhigg(at)nytimes.com. And, please feel free
to put "Change Project" in the subject line so your email will
evade our spam filters.
And, please feel free to forward this note to anyone you think
is interested, or to contact me with a suggestion about whom I
should reach out to.
Thanks. I look forward to hearing from you,
|
