1. About the Body-Centered Coaching Master
in the latest research in neuroscience and mindfulness, Body-Centered
Coaching (developed by Marlena Field) builds on an integration
of the teachings of the Hakomi Method of Psychotherapy and the
ICF coaching competencies. These Body-Centered techniques combine
mindfulness with access to the body's wisdom, and intelligence
creating a whole-person-centered approach that enables clients
to experience a greater depth of insight, awareness and self-acceptance.
Body-Centered Coaching is both an approach and
a set of tools. In this class, coaches are also trained to connect
to their own body as a resource when working with clients.
The focus on 'being' for both the coach and the client,
Mindful, present and centered
Spacious, comfortable with silence and with not knowing
Creative, intuitive, curious, and open to experiment
This approach encourages coaches to coach from a holistic perspective
The whole person in the coaching session: body, mind,
spirit, engaging the client's full resources
Focus on the present moment experience and be increasingly
aware of how the signals from the body can be accessed to enhance
the coaching process
Bring mindfulness and attention to breath, movement,
and sensations, and 'noticing' the impact of explorations, potential
decisions, and the client's use of their own body-centered language,

6. What People Say About Pat and her Body-Centered
"From the moment I met Pat I felt her strong
loving presence and appreciated her love of learning and high
intellect. Introducing Pat to my Method of Body-Centered Coaching
was a delight. She showed a remarkable affinity for including
the body's wisdom in the coaching conversation and for being deeply
respectful of the importance for both coach and client being in
a state of mindful reflection. I was proud to certify Pat as a
CBCC (Certified Body-Centered Coach) and to license her to teach
the Body-Centered Coaching Method." Marlena Field
"I experienced firsthand the value of body-centered
coaching as a volunteer at a workshop, to help me resolve a relationship
question. The power, simplicity, and directness of this method
to cut through mental chatter and reveal the truth of my situation
was breath-taking! It is a powerful method, and Pat is highly
skilled in applying and teaching it!" Lisa Hecht
"Pat takes 'Wisdom of the Body' to a whole
new level of coaching awareness and action. Her expertise in helping
clients move forward by engaging mindful body focus is a coaching
game-changer. Easy, practical and fun, Pat's cutting edge, creative
applications are exquisite and effective. After Pat's presentation
on Body Centered Coaching at the MentorCoach conference, I have
used her techniques with my clients, and they all rave about their
new learning. Pat's class has empowered me with skills that will
forever change the way I coach." Judy Krings
"I was intrigued to learn about Body-Centered
coaching from Pat because I know aspects of memory are stored
on the cellular level and movement and body position affect mindset
and mood. I just didn't know the details. Listening to Pat do
multiple demonstrations of the techniques of Body-Centered coaching,
I was in awe of how powerful and effective they were and very
excited to learn more. The framework for the training concepts
is so clear I was able to remember enough to try out Body-Centered
techniques with a client and with a student in a class demo shortly
after my initial training. I was stunned at how powerfully meaningful
the experience was for both. I am eager to become a more masterful
coach by learning more about Body-Centered coaching." Steve
"Pat Hinton Walker assists clients in transforming
their lives using body-centered coaching to tap into the inner
wisdom of their body. A gifted teacher, Pat provides the tools
to integrate the principles of body-centered coaching into any
coaching practice. Having barely scratched the surface, I know
that my practice will reach new heights as a result of this new
MentorCoach offering. This course is an opportunity not to be
missed!" Cynthia A. Russell
"After experiencing - mind, body, and spirit
- the powerful effect of body centered coaching in a session with
Pat, I was even more resolved to learn to use this approach -
but never considered taking a course from anyone but from her.
(Never mind that having been Pat's student already, I would sign
on for a course in advanced pencil-sharpening if she taught it!)
We hope always to bring mindful-presence to our coaching. With
the Body Centered Coaching class, Pat is poised to expand the
boundaries of our intuition." Linda Secretan
"I was very intrigued by Pat's ability,
during the practice coaching sessions, to create powerful visualization
moments that helped to guide the person toward positive action.
Actual, 'get out of your chair, and other movement actions' that
further crystalize guiding thoughts and direction. These were
very simple actions that led to great insight. I was very interested
to know more because of the tremendous results they bring. Pat
shared with me that she is using Body-Centered coaching. This
will be the next class I take to enhance my coaching practice."
