1. What You'll Be Doing
in this Course
In
the 12-week course, you'll design six BHAGs (Big, Hairy, Audacious
Goals*). Together they'll comprise a very large vision of what
your life could be. We have a very specific, concrete approach
that guarantees you can succeed at this--designing a vision much
bigger than you've ever done before.
Then you'll use backward planning to back yourself
back into the present. We'll integrate the cutting edge research
of such scholars as Peter Gollwitzer and Gabriele Oettingen. Then
we'll show you how to create the focus and social support you'll
need as you bring it to life. You'll learn to do this first for
yourself and then for your coaching clients. And you'll walk out
with an outline of how to lead a virtual or in-person workshop
for groups of any size as well.
This class has brought about transformative changes for many
graduates and regularly receives extraordinary evaluations.

2. The 5-Year Life Vision
Most
of us think far too small. Even the big dreams that we have are
almost always constrained by our hidden blinders. This is especially
true for therapists and other helping professionals who are not
used to creating BHAG's (big, hairy, audacious goals).(Collins
et al, 1999).
Yet if you think back over your life and remember
the most important accomplishments you've achieved, almost always
they began with and were sustained by a powerful vision. In this
workshop, we're going to hold your hand and help you create an
expansive vision for your life.

3. What You'll Take Away
from this Course
Our
atmosphere will be light, reflective, and at times playful. But
make no mistake, we will lead you through an exercise which will
allow you to create a vision of your life five to seven years
in the future--a vision that is anchored by six specific outcome
goals.
Then we'll show you ways to reverse engineer these goals, backing
yourself back into the present. And how to create the focus and
social support to bring your vision it to life. You'll learn to
do this first for yourself and then for your coaching clients.
Most important, we'll help and encourage you to develop an ongoing
group to support you over the years as you realize your goals.
Take Blue Sky graduate and master coach, D'Arcy Vanderpool, who
has met regularly with her group since 2002:
"We have written books, become published authors, secured
important speaking engagements, won large six-figure consulting
engagements, been presented various awards, been hired for important
jobs or contracts, changed our way of living, moved to second
homes part of the year, successfully gone through cancer, surgeries,
divorces, marriages, mother's deaths, grandchildren's births and
the usual and customary goals and BHAG's as successful Blue Skiers."
--D'Arcy Vanderpool, MA, PCC, Las Vegas, Nevada

10. Coach Certification.
This class provides twelve hours toward MentorCoach
Certification as an elective for students meeting the class attendance
requirement (See #13 below.)
11. ICF Coach Continuing
Education
This class is also approved for 12 CCEs (ICF Core
Competencies) from the International Coach Federation for students
meeting the class attendance requirement (See #13 below.) There
is no fee for ICF CCEs.
12. CEUs
CEUs. Graduates of this class will be able to earn
twelve hours of CEUs for social workers (NASW), licensed counselors
(NBCC), and Marriage and Family Therapists in California (BBS).
The CEU administration fee is $75. CEUs for psychologists (APA)
are not provided for this class.
To receive credit for CEUs, students must pay the
CEU fee and be present for 9.5 classes. (See #13 below)
Note: The CEU fee applies only if
you are a licensed mental health professional in the US and need
CEUs from one of the organizations listed above (NASW, NBCC, etc.)
Otherwise, when you register, indicate that you do not need to
pay the CEU fee when you register.
13. Attendance Requirements.
Every
class is recorded. Some students may listen to some or all of
the classes by recording at their leisure. We applaud and support
this practice. We know one well-known Australian professor who
used to end his week listening to Chris Peterson's lectures by
recording on Friday evenings, drinking white wine and reclining
in his hot tub.
However,
to receive credit for CEUs, ICF CEs, credit toward MentorCoach
Certification, or to receive a Certificate of Completion, students
must be present for 9.5 of the 12 classes. (How do you receive
credit for attendance for half of a class? By turning in
only one of the attendance codes.)
Attendance at the actual class is documented by the student emailing
in two one-word attendance codes that are given out during the
class. They must be emailed in within 24 hours of the class ending.
Listening to the class by recording does not count toward the
attendance requirement for receiving CEUs, credit toward MentorCoach
Certification, ICF CCEs, or to receive a Class Certificate of
Completion.
14. Refund Policy
You may withdraw your registration at any time before the beginning
of the second one hour class and receive a full refund. You are
responsible for the full tuition amount if you do not withdraw
before the beginning of the second class.

received his ICF Master Certified Coach designation in 1999
and as that year drew to a close, and as we entered the new
millennium, he taught Blue Sky for the first time. It had an
electric impact on him and on other participants and he has
gone on to teach Blue Sky, with Anne as his co-leader, roughly
once a year ever since. MORE

Anne

career as a small business (art gallery) owner. Her current
areas of specialization are mentoring and supervising coaches
and providing individual coaching to executives and small business

Anne's own coaching experience began before coaching was even
a buzzword. Her first coaching client was the CEO of NASDAQ
