Continuing Education for Helping Professionals

MentorCoach is approved to offer Continuing Education for social workers, marriage and family therapists and certified counselors, as indicated below. Acquiring CEU accreditation is an expensive, difficult, and time-consuming process that many coach training programs are not able or willing to pursue. It is because of our dedication to the clinician students in our programs that we have sought these added designations.

Our ability to award CEU's is a responsibility we take seriously. Students interested in obtaining CEU's must adhere to strict attendance requirements and complete required paperwork. We are always happy to assist with any questions or concerns.

Participants MUST attend 80% of each course offered by MentorCoach to receive CEs/CEUs, as outlined below. CEs/CEUs will ONLY be awarded at the end of each course.

Social Workers:

The MentorCoach Training Program: Foundations (MCP)
The MentorCoach Training Program: Foundations has been approved by the National Association of Social Workers for 31 contact hours.

Master Classes
For MentorCoach Master Classes, Social Workers are eligible to receive contact hours. The number of contact hours granted depends on the length of the individual MasterClass.

 

Certified Counselors:
MentorCoach is an NBCC-Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP™) and may offer NBCC-approved clock hours for events (or programs) that meet NBCC requirements. Sessions (or programs) for which NBCC-approved clock hours will be awarded are identified in the program web page. The ACEP is solely responsible for all aspects of the program.

The MentorCoach Training Program: Foundations (MCP)
The MentorCoach Training Program: Foundations has been approved to provide 3.1 CEUs and 31 contact hours.

Master Classes
For MentorCoach Master Classes, certified counselors are eligible to receive CEUs. The number of CEUs granted depends on the length of the individual program.

 

California Marriage and Family Therapists
MentorCoach is approved by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences to offer continuing education for MFT and LCSW licensure requirements in California. PCE#2194

The MentorCoach Training Program:
Foundations (MCP)
This course meets the qualifications for 31 hours of continuing education credit for MFTs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.

Master Classes
Our Master Classes meet the qualifications for continuing education credit for MFTs and/or LCSW’s as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Exact number of CE hours is determined by each individual course.

NOTE REGARDING STATE BOARDS:
It has been our experience that most state boards accept programs with national authorization, but this is up to the individual participant to verify. Also, state governing boards occasionally have different methods for determining how CEU's and CE's are calculated, which the participant should also check.

 

REGISTERING FOR CEUs
CEUs (continuing education units) are relevant if you are a licensed
mental health professional in the US. If you need CEUs for a given
course, there is a $75 administrative fee.

International Coach Federation (ICF) Coach Continuing Education Units (CCEUs) are
a different matter. They are relevant only to members of the ICF. NOTE: There are
NO fees for ICF Coach Continuing Education units. .

Most people pay the $75 administrative fee for CEUs at the time they register for their classes.
Occasionally people decide after registration that they would like CEUs for their class. If this
